New York City’s very own Policewomen’s Endowment Association (PEA) and WGIRLS NYC are excited to collaborate again to host this years’ Project G.L.A.M Dress and Tie Prom Giveaway! We have tons of gorgeous gowns, great tuxedos, ties, makeup, and accessories ready to be donated to students in need for their upcoming prom. We would like your help in registering students’ who identify as being economically disadvantaged and would like to participate in this year’s festivities. During the give away students will be able to select a dress or tux of their choice as well as receive ties, makeup and accessories for free of charge.
Dress and Tie Giveaway Event Details: Dress and Tie Prom Giveaway will be held on Saturday, April 29th and is by invitation only. Each high school that registers will be issued wrist bands for their students to attend. In order to secure an appointment, you must register your school here no later than Tuesday, April 18th (keeping in mind that the sooner, the better. At a certain point we need to close registration due to capacity issues). After registration closes, schools will be sent an additional form for each student to individually complete and choose their time.
Mailing Address: We kindly ask that you include your home mailing address for the wrist bands. In the years past, wrist bands sent to schools did not arrive on time and caused a large hassle for our team. If you do not feel comfortable sharing your home mailing address, please let us know.
One Quick Note: Please DO NOT register your students for ANY other Prom dress giveaway outside of Dress and Tie Prom Giveaway. prior to our April 29th event. We feel VERY strongly that it is not fair to young women or men who are in need of a dress or tux to have their selection limited by a student who has already procured a gown or tux at another event. If you have an issue because you have already registered students with another organization and know that you want your students to attend the Dress and Tie Prom Giveaway, please let us know ASAP and we will help remedy the issue.
