| With the class of 2022 preparing to graduate, WGIRLS Inc. is continuing to work toward a brighter future for young women in need. We are very excited to be able to offer our annual WGIRLS Project G.L.A.M. Scholarship award once again this year! The WGIRLS Inc. Project G.L.A.M. Scholarship is a merit and need-based scholarship designed to help young women cover costs associated with pursuing a college education. The scholarship award(s) will range in value from $1,000 to $3,000 dollars. All graduating female students from the class of 2022 who attend a public school in NYC are encouraged to apply. The application for the scholarship is available at the link below. Please share it with any and all students who you think would be a good fit. The deadline to apply for the scholarship is May 13th, 2022. Scholarship recipients will be contacted via phone and email on or before June 10th, 2022.  WHO CAN APPLY? Female high school seniors on track to graduate in 2022. The student must: Be accepted to a college/university with plan to start Fall 2022Have a minimum 3.0 GPA at time of application submission Have proof of financial need (family household income less than $52,000 AGI or free/reduced lunch status from 2021-2022 school year)  APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Each applicant must submit: A completed application A one-page essay (400-500 words) A copy of their high school transcript A letter of recommendation from high school teacher or guidance counselor Signed statement of support by guidance counselor or other support staff |
