To support all teachers of MLs/ELLS, the DOE is offering asynchronous professional learning opportunities specifically designed for teachers and administrators on June 9, Chancellor’s Conference Day. These opportunities are designed to address the needs of MLs/ELLs at all proficiency levels and are meant to support administrators, teacher teams as well as individual ENL, bilingual and content area teachers. Estrellita Spanish Program
As part of our citywide initiative to ensure all students receive explicit foundational literacy skills instruction and to ensure our teachers are provided with high quality training, Estrellita Spanish Program will provide two live synchronous sessions on June 9th.
The K-1 training incorporates a detailed explanation of the methodology for the K-1 curriculum including classroom techniques, description of the sequence and scope and pacing guide. It provides guidance and specific explanations illustrating each portion of the curriculum. The session incorporates classroom techniques and modeling of the activities.
