| For most, the school year is already underway – as always, it is imperative that we intentionally create spaces for youth voices in education. Although there are many reasons to celebrate this fall, there are still many challenges youth are facing academically and socially going into the new school year. It’s not too late to register for our virtual youth town hall happening later this month to learn more. Join IEL and the Coalition for Community Schools’ Next Generation Coalition (NGC) on Thursday, September 22nd from 6:00 PM EST – 7:30 PM EST, as we host our first Youth Town Hall of the 2022-’23 academic year addressing a variety of challenges. We will be joined by a panel of middle and high school student leaders who will be discussing issues they are facing – such as mental health, academic supports, and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Youth will provide solutions to these challenges and how adults can support them. |
