Dear families,

You’re invited to a live virtual event for families of students entering high school for fall 2023.

All eighth graders and interested first-time ninth graders are invited to attend. The first event is Tuesday, October 11th!

At each event, we’ll walk you through high school admissions in New York City. We’ll cover how to use MySchools to build a balanced application, and when and how to apply. We’ll also talk about Specialized High Schools. After the presentation, we will respond to your questions.

  • Each event will be virtual, so you can join from anywhere! 
  • Please note that every event will cover the same content, but each event will provide interpretation in different languages.
  • The events will be held on the following dates and times—please use the links and information below to join the session best suited to you and your family’s preferred language. You can also view and save these events to your calendar using our new MySchools Events Calendar.
    • Tuesday, October 11, 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm | Event held in English |  
      Interpretation provided in Haitian Creole, Chinese (Mandarin), Russian
    • Thursday, October 13, 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm | Event held in English |  
      Interpretation provided in Arabic, Bangla, Spanish
    • Tuesday, October 18, 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm | Event held in English |  
      Interpretation provided in French, Korean, Urdu
