NYC Council Hearing Invitation – Committee of the Whole – 12/19 and 12/20/22

Please be advised that the New York City Council Committee of the Whole will hold a hearing on December 19, 2022 and December 20, 2022, at 10 AM in the Council Chambers at City Hall, New York, NY 10007 and via Zoom web-conference, on:

Oversight: Examining the City’s Response and Delivery of Services to Migrants

On December 19, 2022, the Committee will hear from the Administration witnesses in the following order:

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, New York City Emergency Management, Mayor’s Office of Contracts, Health + Hospitals

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Health + Hospitals, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene

1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Department of Social Services, Department of Youth and Community Development

2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Department of Education

You are hereby invited to watch, either via Council live stream or in person at City Hall, on December 19, 2022. Public witnesses will not be called to testify on December 19, 2022.

On December 20, 2022, the Committee will receive testimony from public witnesses.

You are hereby invited to attend and testify, either live via video conferencing, or live in person at City Hall on December 20, 2022. Written testimony from public witnesses will be accepted in advance of the hearing by following the instructions below.

If you are planning on testifying live in person or via video conferencing on December 20, 2022, please register in advance of the hearing at https://council.nyc.gov/testify/. Each person who intends to testify via Zoom should register separately.

If you plan to testify in person, it would be greatly appreciated if you could bring twenty (20) copies double-sided of your written testimony to the hearing. Written testimony may be submitted without registration by emailing it to testimony@council.nyc.gov or via the Council’s website at https://council.nyc.gov/testify/ up to 72 hours before the hearing.

The entrance to the hearing and restrooms at City Hall are fully accessible.
