2023 Community and Citywide Education Council Application Period Closes February 23, 2023: APPLY NOW! Last Chance!

Dear Council Members and Family Leadership Coordinators,

Please share the information below with your communities and at your respective meetings.

The deadline to apply to run for a seaton an Education Council is quickly approaching! Submit your application by Thursday, February 23 at 11:59 PM.

Apply for a council seat and make your voice heard, just log into your NYC Schools Account at schoolsaccount.nyc. Current council members interested in serving for the 2023-2025 term must also apply.

Don’t have an NYC Schools Account? Sign up for one now at schoolsaccount.nycand contact your parent coordinator to complete the process. For more information about the NYC Schools account, visit schools.nyc.gov/nycsa.

As a Community or Citywide Education Council member, you can help make a direct impact on your child’s education. Community Education Councils host Town Halls with the Chancellor, collaborate with Superintendents to raise student achievement, and propose improvements to school buildings.
