Dear families,
There are two weeks left to apply to 3-K and we’ve just added new 3-K programs for the upcoming school year! You can learn about these new program options today in the MySchools 3-K Directory by clicking More Filters and then selecting “New Programs”.
Haven’t applied yet? Submit your child’s application by March 10. All New York City children born in 2020 can apply.
Already applied and happy with your choices? If so, you’re all set!
Already applied and want to add new programs to your application? You can! Reopen the application by clicking on the blue “Submitted” button next to your child’s name on the dashboard. Complete the same steps you did to apply the first time and just don’t forget to click “submit” again. You will see the confetti and will also get an emailed receipt with your updated application. Remember that admissions is not first come first served, so your changes will not affect your child’s chances of receiving an offer. Due to limited seats not all applications received by the deadline will be made offers, you can learn more here.
You can list to up to 12 3-K programs on your child’s application. Be sure to list your choices in your true order of preference, with your first-choice program at the top as #1. Apply one of three ways by the March 10 deadline:
- Online through MySchools.nyc –– this video tutorial will walk you through the process. You can apply online 24 hours a day, in 10 languages.
- By phone at 718-935-2009. You can call us Monday through Friday, 8am – 6pm. Language supports are available in over 200 languages over the phone.
- Through a Family Welcome Center. You can find hours and locations on our website.
