Dear families,

There’s one week left to apply to 3-K! Remember: submitting a 3-K application is your best chance of getting an offer to a program you want.

Already applied? If so, you’re all set.

Haven’t applied yet? Submit your child’s application by March 10. All New York City children born in 2020 can apply.

You can list up to 12 3-K program choices in your true order of preference, with your first choice at the top as #1. Remember to include choices where your child may have a higher priority to attend (current student, zoned applicant, siblings). Learn more about how offers are made and admissions priorities on our website.

Then apply one of three ways:

  • Online through MySchools.nyc–– this video tutorial will walk you through the process. You can apply online 24 hours a day, in 10 languages.
  • By phone at 718-935-2009. You can call us Monday through Friday, 8am – 6pm. Language supports are available in over 200 languages over the phone.
  • Through a Family Welcome Center. You can find hours and locations on our website

If you want to make changes to your child’s application, you can do so and resubmit anytime by March 10. To edit, reopen the application by clicking on the blue “Submitted” button next to your child’s name on the dashboard. Complete the same steps you did to apply the first time and just don’t forget to click “submit” again. You will know it was submitted when you see the confetti and will also get an emailed receipt with your updated application. Remember that editing your child’s application has no impact on admissions as it is not first come first serve. Due to limited seats not all applicants who apply by the deadline will be made offers – learn more here.

If you need help with your application, we’re here to support! Call the number above or email us at ESEnrollment@schools.nyc.gov. Learn more on our website, where you can watch our 3-K admissions video playlist.

Best wishes,
The Elementary School Admissions Team
