Friends,

Despite its challenges, New York City has the best public transportation system in America. Our subway and bus networks are the arteries of the City, transporting millions of people every day.

Running a system as large and complex as this is an immense challenge, and since last May, the person with this job is Richard Davey, President of New York City Transit.

Please join us for an online conversation and Q&A about public transit in New York City with Richard Davey next Wednesday, March 15th, at 5:30 PM.

This is one of a series of conversations my office is organizing about issues of importance to our community. To watch a recording of our forum with NYLCV President Julie Tighe, click here. I believe that transparency and public access to decision makers are essential aspects of good government.

I’m looking forward to seeing you next week for this important community conversation.
