| Community Update: March 13th Dear Neighbor— Happy Monday! A lot has happened since we saw each other last. So let’s catch up! This week, Wednesday, March 15, 2023, I will be hosting a preliminary budget hearing. As you know, the City of New York’s budget is due by July 1, 2023, so this hearing gives me the opportunity to here from advocates, neighbors and the Department of Education (DOE). As in weeks past, we are still offering free immigration assistance thanks to our partnership with CUNY Citizenship Now on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please note, you MUST make an appointment first. Additionally, our friends at CUFFH will continue to offer free housing assistance on Thursdays from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Don’t forget that this Friday, March 17, 2023 is our last “TPS Friday” at Medgar Evers College. Lastly, as many of us know, when it rains our community floods so please reach out if you or your neighbors are in need of rain barriers.
