First, join us for our monthly calendar meeting on Thursday, May 18 at 6:00 pm for a Summer Rising Update. Presenters from the DOE and the Department of Youth and Community Development will be on hand to answer questions about the program.

Second, join us for our Annual IEP Conference on Saturday, May 20 at 9:30 am for Building Resilience in a World of Difference. You’ll hear from leaders from the DOE Special Education Department, panelists will discuss the IEP and Due Process, there will be a conversation on Special Education & the Law with NYS Senator John Liu and our now Keynote Speaker, Councilwoman Rita Joseph will speak about her aims and dreams for students with IEPs currently being provided special education services in NYC.
