Today at 1 PM. Mayor Adams – Public Safety

Team,

Every week, our public safety leaders are working to keep our city safe and make time to knock down the barriers between you and the information you need. Public safety requires the public’s input, and that’s why we want to hear from you and answer your questions.

Tomorrow, Friday May 26th at 1:00 PM, Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Philip Banks III, Deputy Mayor for Operations Meera Joshi, New York City Department of Education (DOE) Chancellor David Banks, and New York City Police Department (NYPD) Community Affairs Bureau Deputy Chief Maximo Tolentino will hold another briefing to highlight the city’s ongoing public safety and quality of life enforcement efforts.

The briefing will be streamed live on the Mayor’s Office’s YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter pages.

During the briefing, Deputy Mayor Meera Joshi will discuss Vision Zero and best practices for safe driving and bicycling, DOE Chancellor Banks will update New Yorkers on the department’s recently announced “New York City Reads” initiative, and NYPD Deputy Chief Tolentino will highlight several drivers of crime in New York City and provide tips for New Yorkers to best protect themselves and their belongings.

We want to hear from you. Click here to submit your questions about Vision Zero/improving street safety, the “New York City Reads” initiative, or the drivers of crime. We keep this city safe one way and one way only: by working together.
