Mayor Adams – Public Safety 06/15/2023

Team,

Every week, our public safety leaders are working to keep our city safe and make time to knock down the barriers between you and the information you need. Public safety requires the public’s input, and that’s why we want to hear from you and answer your questions.

Tomorrow, Friday, June 16th at 11:30 AM, Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Philip Banks III, New York City Department for the Aging (NYC Aging) Commissioner Lorraine Cortez-Vasquez, New York City Police Department (NYPD) Chief of Transportation Kim Royster, and New York City Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation Chief Maureen Kokeas will hold another briefing to highlight the city’s ongoing public safety and quality of life enforcement efforts.

The briefing will be streamed live on the Mayor’s Office’s YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter pages.

During the briefing, NYC Aging Commissioner Cortez-Vasquez will discuss the department’s recent announcement of an older adult liaison being designated in every police precinct throughout the city, NYPD Chief of Transportation Royster will highlight the bureau’s work keeping our roadways safe, and Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation Chief Kokeas will update New Yorkers on the department’s deed fraud investigation efforts and provide prevention tips.

We want to hear from you. Click here to submit your questions about older adult liaisons in police precincts, the work of the NYPD’s Transportation Bureau keeping roadways safe, or the Sheriff’s Office’s efforts on deed fraud.

We keep this city safe one way and one way only: by working together.

Eric
