Happy Summer Friday!
We hope this finds you as well as can be. Our July NYC Care CONNECT newsletter is chock full of (hopefully!) helpful news and information. In particular, I hope you’ll consider taking part in our NYC Care Weekend of Action for Healthcare Access! Our goals are to:
- Encourage New Yorkers to take care of themselves by making primary care appointments.
- Share info about NYC Care as an option for those who don’t qualify for Medicaid/other insurance.
- Remind those with Medicaid that they have to recertify or risk losing coverage.
There are several ways to participate in this Weekend of Action, that range from simply posting our sample messages on social media, to speaking to your own members using our talking points at your own scheduled events over the weekend, to sharing the materials from our Weekend of Action Toolkit, to volunteering in-person for a Day of Action, handing out flyers in busy areas.
