Dear Families, 

Join us for a virtual information session about Elementary Admissions.

All NYC families with children born in 2019, 2020, and 2021 are invited to join us at a virtual information session covering 3-K, Pre-K, and kindergarten (including Gifted and Talented) admissions. After the presentation, we’ll respond to your questions.

During each session we’ll walk you through each of the elementary admissions processes. We’ll cover how to learn about schools and programs, and their priorities, using the online school directory at We’ll also discuss how to create a strong and balanced application, and how to apply. Please note the kindergarten application is now closed; during the session we will talk about waitlists for families who missed the deadline.

All events are in English and American Sign Language (ASL), with interpretation in different languages. Each event will cover the same information, so there is no need to attend more than one event.

  • February 7, 2pm to 3pm | Event held in English. Interpretation provided in: Spanish, Bangla, Korean
  • February 15, 6pm to 7pm | Event held in English. Interpretation provided in: Russian, Haitian Creole, Arabic
