The Right to Read Film Screening and Panel Conversation

Dear Councilmembers,

Please join New York City Public Schools Chancellor David C. Banks,  the NAACP and special invited guests for a film screening and panel conversation of The Right to Read. 

The Right to Read film documents the stories of an NAACP activist, a teacher, and two American families who fight to provide our youngest generation with the most foundational indicator of life-long success: the ability to read.

Program will begin promptly at 6:30pm with a panel conversation immediately following. (Doors open 5:45pm)

In-person interpretation services will be available for the film and panel discussion in Spanish, Russian and Mandarin.
