At the start of the 2023 school year NYCPS initiated Climate Action Days to highlight, emphasize, and celebrate climate action in all schools. These Action Days engage our future leaders—the students! Schools and SLTs create activities around climate action that best suit the needs of their population and find ways to work on the increasingly important issue of environmental justice.
Tomorrow, February 7 is another Climate Action Day with the theme of ‘Waste’ in which schools focus on opportunities to reduce waste and have students participate as agents of change in their communities. For more information on Climate Action Days, you can visit their NYCPS website.
