Dear Parents, Principals, PTA’s/PA, Parent Coordinators, and Education Councils,

Queens Borough President Donovan Richards invites you to the next Parent Advisory Board meeting which will include both a High School Fair and a High School application and admissions workshop on Thursday October 13, 2022 from 5pm to 8pm at Queens Borough Hall located at 120-55 Queens Blvd in Kew Gardens downstairs in the atrium.

The following is the schedule for the High School Fair and Workshops:

5pm- to 8pm   – High School Fair ongoing throughout the evening.  Participating High Schools: Townsend Harris High School, Thomas Edison High School, Maspeth High School, Academy of American Studies, Pathways College Preparatory School, Bayside High School, Aviation High School, Queens Metropolitan High School, Eagle Academy, Bard High School Early College, Queens High School for the Sciences at York College, Frank Sinatra Performing Arts School, York Early College Academy, William Cullen Bryant High School,  Forest Hills High School, Francis Lewis High School, Baccalaureate School for Global Education,

East-West School of International Studies, Academy of Finance and Enterprise, Scholars Academy, Richmond Hill High School, Information Technology High School, Health Arts Robotics & Technology High School and more!

6pm to 7pm –  High School application and admissions process workshop given by the NYC Department of Education Office of Admissions which will discuss the different High School admissions and different requirements,  Specialized High Schools and Test, tips to better your chances of getting your first choice school, admissions requirements, application deadlines and notification time, appeal process, wait lists, followed by a Question and Answer period from parents. (The workshop will be held in the room behind the stage)

7pm to 8pm – Same workshop above repeated: Specialized High School and Regular High School application and admissions process workshop given by the NYC Department of Education Office of Admissions. (The workshop will be held in the room behind the stage).

8pm   – High School Fair and workshop ends.
