Please join New York City’s Independent Budget Office (IBO) and the Public Science Project at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York for a presentation on, and discussion of, IBO’s recently released report: The Inflexibility of Special Education Recommendations: An Examination of Efforts to Educate Students in the Least Restrictive Environment.

This event will be held on June 17th, 2024, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM via Zoom.

Louisa Chafee – Director of the Independent Budget Office

Presentation and discussion by:
Dr. Liza Pappas – Former IBO analyst and Principal Investigator of the study will present the report’s major findings.
Dr. Michelle Fine – Distinguished Professor at the CUNY Graduate Center will moderate a discussion about educating students in the least restrictive environment, special education, and general education.
